Bleakley Platt & Schmidt

Friends and Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce that Bleakley Platt & Schmidt, LLP has formed a matrimonial practice group, and I have joined the firm as of counsel to lead the new group. I will continue to maintain my own practice while leading Bleakley Platt’s matrimonial practice.

I joined Bleakley Platt as of counsel to provide my clients with an even greater level of service and to draw upon Bleakley Platt’s vast resources. The practice of matrimonial law has changed recently, especially in Westchester County. The court’s welcomed efforts to speed the process along and adhere to strict goals and deadlines must be balanced against an attorney’s obligation to leave no stone unturned and provide impeccable representation. This has created the need to bring greater resources and attention to every matter. Through Bleakley Platt’s breadth of practice areas, resources, and 43 attorneys, we believe we will be able to provide our matrimonial client’s access to attorneys at the top of their fields in the areas of estate planning, tax counseling, real estate transactions, executive compensation, employee benefits, and corporate and securities.

As many of you know, Bleakley Platt was founded in 1937, and is one of the preeminent law firms in the Hudson Valley region, with offices in White Plains and Southern Connecticut. Bleakley Platt’s practice areas include civil and criminal litigation, intellectual property litigation, trusts and estates, commercial finance, real estate, corporate and health law and labor and employment, among others.
