National Trial and Appellate Experience: Larry’s litigation experience includes a broad spectrum of complex federal and state court commercial litigation and first chair trial experience, as well as private and public agency mediation and arbitration, before courts, tribunals and panels throughout the United States.

Successful dispute resolution requires cost-effective and practical solutions that consider all options. Often avoiding court is better than rushing into it, and Larry strives to secure favorable results at the earliest possible point, preferably before litigation.

Larry’s experience battling for the corporate elite allows him to provide thoughtful, effective, innovative and timely advice — advice that is pragmatic and creative and leads to innovative and efficient solutions.  

Hands-on, responsive and collaborative, Larry develops close working relationships with clients to empower them to make informed decisions.

But importantly, when litigation is needed, Larry has the skills based on three decades prosecuting, defending and trying disputes nationally, to vigorously litigate.

Intellectual Property

Larry provides clients with IP enforcement, protection, and strategic counseling, trademark, trade secret, right of publicity, and copyright litigation assistance, ranging from strategic settlement to mediation to trying the case.

Larry emphasizes the early evaluation of case merits and development of a case strategy from pre-suit considerations through discovery, motion practice, and trial. 

  • Trademark and Unfair Competition Litigation:  Larry handles all phases of litigation, including applications for emergency injunctive relief, declaratory judgment proceedings, and trials and appeals, in federal and state courts throughout the United States in connection with trademark, trade dress, domain name, false advertising, unfair competition, dilution, and related Lanham Act and state law claims.
  • Copyright and Design Patent Litigation and Counseling:  Larry has represented clients in a wide array of complex copyright and design patent disputes.
  • Restrictive Covenant and Trade Secret Litigation: Larry regularly counsels clients on best practices for protecting trade secrets, and Larry represents both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state trade secret litigation, including prosecution of and defense against applications for injunctions and ex parte seizes in cases including technology, customer lists, new business model, and employee trade secret cases.
  • Right of Publicity Litigation: Larry has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in right of publicity litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Entertainment, TV and Film: Many of Larry’s engagements in both the IP and employment realm have involved entertainment, television and film production-related disputes.

Larry regularly provides strategic and practical legal advice and counseling to both employers and employees as they navigate the employment relationship from inception through termination.
